Translations
To get to Translations, click 'helpdesk setup' then the 'Translations' tab.
Translations allows you to translate areas of the Helpdesk into your native language (or simply change the text in certain areas).
You can use the Filter section on the left side to restrict the fields that appear for editing on the right.
Languages
Clicking the 'Languages' button will pop up a panel that allows you to add a new language.
- Add New Translation: Select which language you would like to add.
- Copy New Text From: This will allow you to copy the text from another translation into this one. This is useful if the two translations are similar with only minor differences in some words (eg. color vs. colour).
Synchronize
Clicking the 'Synchronize' button will pop up a panel that allows you to quickly find new translatable phrases that have not yet been translated by you (eg. left blank).
- With new text to translate...: You may opt to leave the new fields blank, or automatically copy the U.S. English translation.
Import
Clicking the 'Import' button will pop up a panel that allows you to import languages from an XML file that meets the TMX specifications.
